Pride, Passion & Professionalism

Three Days, One Great Convention

by Tom Poberezny
2013 Convention Chairman

In a little more than 80 days, CJP will kick off its annual convention Tucson, an exciting three days of education, entertainment and networking. So far, advanced registrations are setting a rapid pace. Comparing pre-registrations for the same time frame, member registrations are over 20 percent ahead of last year and the number of registered Citations is 25 percent ahead.

The 2013 Convention theme is “Pride, Passion, and Professionalism.” The pride represents how members feel about owning a Cessna Citation, while the passion for flying is deep rooted in many, if not all of us, regardless of what type of airplane we own or fly. The professionalism relates to the standards under which we operate and maintain our airplanes.

The seminar schedule will address each of these areas. The initial schedule that appears on the convention Web site will be updated over the next few weeks and should be finalized by early August. We are working with our returning presenters to ensure that the content they are providing meets the needs and expectations of attendees.  We are adding new speakers on subjects such as CRM (Cockpit Resource Management) and Advanced iPad Operations, both very timely subjects.

The 2013 CJP Convention will be an outstanding event. Be sure to join us in Tuscon!
